Kathryn Keats
IC-US-CA-SanFrancisco
Kathryn Keats is a soulful singer, prolific songwriter, and unequivocal entertainer. Keats, born Ellen Christian Munger, lived in anonymity for twenty years after her former collaborator, plagued by schizophrenia, held her captive for 54 days. This experience culminated in a precedent-setting jury trial in Oakland, California. With the help of the Victim Witness Assistance Program Keats changed her name to Kathryn Keats and created a new identity. After her collaborator had passed she was free to record and perform again.
