Born in Caserta Italy, graduated at the University of Naples, Domenico "Mimmo" Cappuccio began studying guitar and electric bass at an early age. He studied harmonics jazz and attended seminars and stages of arrangements and composition. In addition, he did some sound engineer training including projects in New York and London. As songwriter, he has released two records on vinyl, first for FIVE RECORDS (then known as R.T.I.), and for Pawaland / Polygram.
In 2008 he built his own Independent Label called ROBIN HOOD RECORDS, which provides all levels of artist development, management, booking, promotion, and recording services on NEVE consoles and 24-track tape, combined with a modern Avid Pro Tools® HD system.
Mimmo composed and signed music on Giuseppe Fava movie, a mafia victim in the 80's. Luca Ward and Barbara Tabita were the main actors, and film photography was entrusted to the Oscar Blasco Giurato award. In 2012, for his music contribution, received the National Literary Award "Olmo " for his music. He will then meet the pianist Giuseppina Torre becoming his Artist Producer; May 2012, Giuseppina received two nominations as 'Instrumental Artist of the Year' and 'International Artist of the Year' at the Los Angeles Music Awards and won in October 2012 with the song "Il Silenzio delle stelle"( The Silence of the stars) (SONY Music ). For few years he has been the artistic director of Draka Production (a film production company and independent record label founded by Corrado Azzollini, www.draka.it ). In 2014 he worked and collaborated with Jean Michel BYRON ex singer of TOTO band. In 2014 arranged the first solo Album of the artist DanHila "White Fly" published by the label Plaza Mayor Company (based in UK and Hong Kong).
In 2017, together with Giuseppina Torre, he signed the music of the DVD / book LA MIA IDEA DI ARTE (MY IDEA OF ART), Mondadori edition/ Vatican Museums, Pope Francis's thoughts about art, as an instrument of evangelization (for Draka Productions). The DVD will be translated into five languages for worldwide distribution. In 2017 he was hired as artistic direction for the GOVONI Foundation events, a foundation dedicated to the research of funds for the study and care of language and communication disorders (http://www.fondazionegovoni.it).
