Yalil Guerra won the International Competition & Festival of Classical Guitar in Krakow, Poland at the age of 16, becoming the youngest Cuban ever awarded a prize in an international competition. He started his career as a producer, composer and arranger in 1990, and today he writes music for Univision, Telefutura and Canal 41 Miami. He produces albums in his Burbank recording studio. In 2012 Yalil won the Latin Grammy in the Best Classical Contemporary Composition for his work "Seducción," and received a second nomination for another work on the same album. In all he has received 8 Latin Grammy nominations so far.
