Rora

Rora, the stage name of Laura Fatato, is a singer-songwriter from Messina, Sicily. Since childhood, she showed a passion for music by recording demo covers and original songs, influenced by her father, a multi-instrumentalist. Self-taught on the guitar, she began performing in local rock and pop bands after high school. With a degree in foreign languages and literature, she teaches English, Japanese, and Spanish. During the pandemic, she launched the "Rora" project, featuring four songs in English (dream-pop, country-rock, soul, blues). In 2023 she was a finalist in the Cantagiro competition as a vocalist in a Pink Floyd tribute band. Her songs are inspired by artists like Avril Lavigne, Sheryl Crow, Amy Winehouse, and Folk Dream Pop groups like The Head and the Heart. She blends language and vivid imagery and atmosphere with her creations.
