Peter Catucci is a musician, vocalist, producer, and songwriter from NYC. He began his career in the rock music scene. Peter played iconic venues like CBGB’s, Max’s Kansas City, Mudd Club, Pyramid Club, Continental, and Ashley’s, where he cemented his reputation as a dynamic live performer. As a member of several original recording bands, including KillSmith, LA Heroes, The Insects, Pantheon, Cinematik, and Grace Under Pressure, Peter showcased his talents as a bass guitarist, vocalist, writer, and producer.
His work with Neal Smith and KillSmith led to the release of nine recordings under the Kachina Records label, where Peter contributed to producing, playing bass guitar, and backing vocals. These collaborations with notable artists and bands have enriched his career and spanned decades.
Peter has shared the stage with an impressive roster of musical legends, including tours with Lesley Gore, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Marvelettes, The Shangri-La’s, Lou Christie, Brooklyn Bridge, Freddie Cannon, La La Brooks (The Crystals), Neal Smith (Alice Cooper Group and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee), and Blondie Chaplin (The Beach Boys/Rolling Stones). His collaborations extended into the studio, where he worked with industry icons like The Wartoke Concern, Leiber and Krebs, Aerosmith's management team members, and Nemperor and Kachina Records. Peter participated in milestone events such as the Boston Tea Party 1976 USA Bicentennial celebration and recorded music for numerous charitable causes.
As a studio musician, he contributed to projects in renowned facilities like Tin Pan Alley, RCA Studios, and Dangerous Music. His collaborations span artists like White Snake, Neal Smith, and Lesley Gore, further solidifying his versatile expertise. Peter's career includes record deals in the USA and UK, attesting to his global reach and impact.
A 25-year voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), Peter remains deeply committed to original music creation and the development of emerging talent. In recent years, Peter has focused on recording his own music, releasing standout singles like “Center Line” and “Another Me.” A new KillSmith album will be released later this year. Beyond his personal artistry, Peter is passionate about mentoring the next generation of creators through initiatives like GRAMMY U.
