Margot was born in rural America, and grew up loving nature and music. She worked as a naturalist, music teacher, and Kindergarten teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. Her compositions, poetry, and vocal improvisations were also featured at Bay Area Arts venues such as Meridian Gallery, Luggage Store, 21 Grand, and Berkeley Arts Center. With her children's music, she seeks to bring a global perspective, sense of wonder, and sincere wish for peace to every child.
