Johnny Mystic

A folkloric master guitarist and singer/songwriter featuring the mystical guitar playing and epic storytelling vocals of the living legend John Francavilla, aka "Johnny Mystic"! Benoir and Johnny began collaborating in 2012, meeting at a local diner after Hurricane Sandy devastated their hometown of Long Beach. The two worked together over the years and started a few recording sessions with vocalist Myraww pre-COVID. These Thursday night collaborations evolved into a solo project for Johnny, with Benoir co-creating the intricate arrangements featured on this timeless masterpiece. 

John's career spans over five decades from his early days performing for his band Zanoni in the mid 80's at CBGB's in New York City (which made it into the Rock Cyclopedia), to Electric Lime Aid and Five to One and Johnny Mystic and the Spirit Guides in Long Beach New York – and all the way to his current home in the Hudson Valley, which inspired the new album he is working on now, "Lady of the Lake."
