Jerome Brooks Jr.

Jerome Brooks, Jr. is a SAG-AFTRA/ AEA Actor who received his BFA Musical Theatre Major / Classical Piano Minor from Shenandoah Conservatory. His big screen debut was the villain Josh McKee in Art = (Love)2. He can be seen in Season 3 of POSE as the Church Organist/ Keyboardist. He’s currently Daniel Breaker’s Stand-In for a new TV show. 

In 2020 he was the music directed on BLACK LOVE IN QUEENS at the Black Spectrum Theatre. He played lawyer Jeffrey Reynolds in THAN YOU FOR TAKING MY CALL, at The Players Theatre. In CROWNS, he played "The Man," and was the music director. He was also the musical director for BRING IT ON, Directed By Tony® Award Winner Tonya Pinkins. 

He performed original music during Grammy Week 2019 at LA’s El Portal Theatre. He was a bass in the Opera AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS with On Site Opera Company and the Harlem Opera Theater. He originated The Time Machine in THE MAD SCIENTIST play at 13th Street Repertory. He was "Isiah Johnson" in TUMBLEWEED AT DIXON PLACE, and was the vocal arranger for POWER, Season 5, Episode 1. He was the "dueling piano player" in Amazon’s Z: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING. 

Off-Broadway, he contributed additional arrangements for MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN. He’s the keyboardist on the cover of the ROCK BAND 3 video game, and in commercials. He’s the creator of COMMITTED - THE MUSICAL, which has had staged readings at Emerging Artists Theatre and The Musical Theatre Factory. He also has three more new musicals currently being submitted for workshop productions. 

His 2017 album, MULTIGENRE MUSIC BY JEROME, is a 20-song follow-up to his 2007 Album COMMITED. Both are available on-line and on all streaming platforms. 

Jerome has performed at Lincoln Center, LA’s Taste of Soul Festival, The Apollo, The Triad, Iguana Club, Sugar Bar, Symphony Space, AUDELCO Awards, in Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Austria and Turkey. He’s the Youth Musician for Convent Ave. Baptist Church in Harlem under the Direction of Dr. Gregory Hopkins.
