Dorian Medd has been playing in bands and writing songs since he was 13. His love of music began on a Sunday evening in 1964 when The Beatles first appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. Over the years Dorian has been strongly influenced by music as diverse as Jim Croce, Simon and Garfunkel, to Steely Dan and Howard Jones. Dorian toured with Medd & Shaw and recorded five popular vinyl records. Today, Dorian is semi-retired, but continues to write music and remains attuned to the music industry as voting member of both CARAS – Junos (Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences), and NARAS (The Grammys®).
