Donald McDaniel

Donald McDaniel's musical background includes being a music educator for none years in the Duncanville, TX I.S.D. He was a trombone student of Leon Brown, and also studied conducting under Anshel Brusilow. In Austin he was member of the indie rock band THE TINY HEARTS from 2008-2011. He was also was a member of the band MAMA K & THE SHADES from 2014-2017, and played SXSW in 2016. 

He is now the trombone player in Austin-based group Honey Made. Austin’s Honey Made bring back memories of legends like James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, and Earth Wind and Fire with their modern take on slamming primal soul and focus on their R&B roots. Having shared the stage with George Clinton & the Parliament Funkadelic, Sierra Leone Refugee Allstars, The Motet, Lee Fields, Roxy Roca and Flow Tribe, the band has already made quite a name for themselves locally, and are currently planning on rapidly expanding their audience beyond the Austin scene.
