Hello fello Indie Collab members, As some of you know, I've spoken with the Recording Academy about how they handled my entry in 2022's Grammys. I found it interesting that they added the new Pop Electronic category this year and used actual words from out of my mouth about vocals being used as "instrumentals" in their new rules this year. There were other things too, but my main concern right now is that everyone have their music heard during Round 1. I just sent the following message to the Academy's Awards department... Hello, Before the Internet figured so highly in everyone's lives, voting members used to have paper ballots mailed to them, which made it difficult for categories to be changed at the last minute, but I digress. One of the benefits of having the paper ballots is that everyone was able to see all of the submissions in each category. It's satisfying to know that you've actually listened to all of the entries in a category and have arrived at the best decision.  Why aren't there such lists on the website during the first round of voting? Everyone can read the nominees in the media. People actually need to know the extent of the categories they are voting in the first round as well. It's really not a fair process otherwise. If the Recording Academy truly wants to protect its integrity, ensure the awards process is fair for everyone, make sure that all music in each category is heard, and the best of the best is picked, then they should let all the voters know who all the entries are in all of the categories. Please add this easily implemented item to the website next year.  Thank you so much & Happy New Year!
