Gabriel Sanchez is a singer/songwriter located in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. Rising from the Tampa music scene, he has gathered a broad range of influences over time playing shows with his band HOPE DARLING. Taking on-board inspiration from Rock as much as Blues, Classical, Reggae, and even Hip-Hop. Having built a name for themselves on the local Tampa scene, the band began to branch out finding themselves performing nationally. An honour that has since been motivated him to push the music and work ethic further and further.
His song “Lifeline” has created waves, thanks in part to being featured in Spike Lee’s Netflix series, SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT. Along with local, national and international airplay, the song has taken him and his band to new heights than ever before with opportunities growing and evolving.
2020 continued to be another milestone year. His band launched a successful radio campaign in the UK and the EU. Here in the USA, his band became a winning finalist in the Jack Daniels and iHeartRadio national battle of the bar bands. 2020 also garnished them the attention of Elyse Schiller with Global Sophisticate Music in Los Angeles and signed to their impressive roster of artists.
2020 welcomed Hope Darling back into the studio, to record and prepare their new EP release – their second to date – due to be ready in early 2021. Songs that fuse thoughtful lyricism with incredibly moving, uplifting and energizing musicianship. He has already amassed an impressive catalogue of achievements, but this is still very much the beginning.
