Ever since he was a child, Eric Chapelle knew that music had a profound effect on him. It was during a walk in nature by himself when he was about six years old in France, when he had one of the most powerful experiences that stayed with him and altered his direction so far in his life, when he heard music in the trees above him.
During that walk in the afternoon, the wind was rattling the leaves of the tall poplar trees along the bank of a creek. The sun rays were radiantly shining on the leaves at the same time against a crisp blue sky. Suddenly, when the wind was rattling the leaves, he heard symphonic music as well, as if a fanfare was being heard being played by the whole orchestra!
He was awestruck and overwhelmed by this magical moment. He knew then that he was destined to be immersed in music in one way or another. Now, today, he's still as passionate about music as when he was six years old. It still is as magical to him as it was then. And it never ceases to amaze him how it still affects him now.
There’s something about it that keeps generating a freshness in its intensity. He remains profoundly affected by what music does to him.
