Entry for pre-purchased tickets is via WILL CALL. There will be a list at the door.
Performances
Solo and duo acoustic performances are the norm, and make up 90% of the event. Here are the typical performance types that work in our fast-paced show:
  • Play the acoustic guitar / play and sing
  • Play the piano / Play the piano and sing
  • Small acoustic duo or trio max (no setup or amps needed)

Our events allocate exactly 5 minutes maximum for each act. So your setup must be QUICK and PAINLESS! We have a fast-paced show. The idea is to present your spirit and your art in its purest form.

What if you don’t perform?
We have lyricists and writers in the Indie Collaborative who are not performers, but they can still get use their 5 minutes to tell the crowd what they do, and what they’re looking for! You can play a short piece from your phone into the mic if you feel that it’s necessary.

More Tech Stuff
We cannot play videos or backing tracks.
There is a grand piano on stage. It’s not pretty, but it’s been played by some of the most legendary artists in the history of music.

Refund Policy
Due to the high cost of putting on these events, we cannot give refunds. In the past we’ve had people who didn’t get a performance slot request a refund. This is not possible. You should want to come in order to be a part of a magical evening of friendship, camaraderie, music and plain old fun, whether you perform or not.

Detailed directions for New Yorkers and out-of-towners, on the Bitter End website, click here.

Note - the Bitter End is street level and handicapped accessible. However the bathrooms are very difficult to manage for wheelchair users due to the age of the building and tight spaces. However there is a restaurant right next door which is very friendly and has larger and much easier rest room facilities.
